Why Proportion Matters in Cosmetic Medicine

Share

How proportion and measured treatment support long-term confidence.

One of the most common conversations I have with patients is about volume.

There is a belief that more product automatically leads to better results. In practice, that is rarely the case.

The face is a structure. It has natural proportions and balance. When volume is added without careful consideration of these elements, results can quickly shift from refined to exaggerated.

Before recommending treatment, I assess the face as a whole — not just the area of concern. I consider symmetry, muscle movement, skin integrity and how each feature relates to the others.

In many cases, I suggest a lighter starting point than patients expect. Not because I am reluctant to treat, but because proportion is what creates natural, long-lasting results.

Enhancement should support your features, not distract from them.

Cosmetic medicine is not about chasing change. It is about guiding it responsibly.

When treatment is measured and staged appropriately, patients often feel more like themselves — just more confident.

That is usually the best outcome.
